AWQA and ROL Water Quality Team Visited Sylvan Lake on August 5

The Alberta Water Quality Association (AWQA) and Respect Our lakes (ROL) water testing demo team visited Sylvan Lake on August 5th to display test kits and distribute pamphlets to visitors at the Town of Sylvan Lake beach.

The Town of Sylvan Lake and the Sylvan Lake Watershed Stewardship Society were the local hosts for the AWQA and ROL team.

AWQA Day is a program of the Alberta Lake Management Society in partnership with Alberta Environment and Sustainable Resource Development. AWQA Day was made possible through the generous support of sponsors EPCOR and TD Friends of the Environment Fund.

SLWSS volunteers applied “No Blue-Green Algae” tattoos on kids and adults who wanted to show support the campaign for a clean, clear lake.
